For 19 years, Nick has given his heart, his strength, and his quiet courage to children who needed him most. He’s carried kids who couldn’t walk. He’s comforted those in deep emotional pain. He’s been the rock for medically fragile and emotionally struggling children—children who found their first sense of calm, trust, and joy on Nick’s strong back.

Over the past year and a half, Nick has been struggling. He’s lost significant weight and has endured colic, ulcers, insulin resistance, and Cushing’s disease. Despite our best efforts—and the care of two dedicated veterinarians—his condition remains a mystery, and his health continues to decline.
