Achievement Centers for Children

Our mission is to enable and empower children with disabilities to grow, play and prepare for lifelong achievement in society.

Founded in 1940 as the Society for Crippled Children, we now serve children and adults with a broad range of disabilities and special needs including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other physical, developmental and emotional challenges.  Our unique, comprehensive service model weaves together education and autism services, therapy services and Intensive Therapy Clinic; recreation, camp and sports programs; and family support services to meet the needs of the entire family, and provide the best outcomes.  The agency serves children from birth through adulthood, with a special focus on children from birth through age five.

Over 4,000 children and adults from throughout Greater Cleveland and beyond received services last year through our three locations, Highland Hills, Westlake and Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, as well as throughout the community in child care centers, schools and homes.
