The Achievement Centers for Children is turning 75! This year on November 14th, at Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine, we will be HONORING our past and CELEBRATING our future. Seventy-five years ago, four visionary and caring Cleveland Rotarians came together with the goal of creating an organization dedicated to helping children with polio and other disabilities lead better lives.  A legacy of hope, help, and achievement was born!

Although much has changed throughout the years, the spirit, essence and core mission of the Achievement Centers for Children has remained the same. We still work every day to help children with disabilities and their families be all they can be. With the goal of enabling and empowering children with disabilities to grow, learn, play and prepare for life-long achievement in society, the Achievement Centers for Children helps children with disabilities and their families achieve their greatest potential in life through comprehensive and innovative programs and services. 

In addition to being a memorable evening for guests, Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine generates significant revenue for the Achievement Centers for Children. Over 82% of the event’s proceeds go directly to the programs and services of the Achievement Centers. Last year we served over 2,600 children with disabilities and their families and provided over $1.2 million in charitable, subsidized care.
