On November 12, 2016, at Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine, the Achievement Centers for Children will honor Richard J. Buoncore, Managing Partner of MAI Capital Management, for his generous long-time support of children with disabilities and their families, and for his meaningful involvement in and dedication to Northeast Ohio’s non-profit community.  This annual celebration has become one of Cleveland’s most recognized charity galas, and the Achievement Centers’ largest fundraising event.

With the mission of enabling and empowering children with disabilities to grow, learn, play and prepare for life-long achievement in society, the Achievement Centers for Children helps children with disabilities and their families achieve their greatest potential in life through comprehensive and innovative programs and services.  Last year they served over 2,300 children with disabilities and provided over $1.2 million in charitable, subsidized care.

In addition to being a memorable evening for guests, Sparkle, Shimmer & Shine generates significant revenue for the Achievement Centers for Children. Over 82% of the event’s proceeds go directly to the programs and services of the Achievement Centers. In 2015, the event raised over $415,000 and was attended by 400 business, community and civic leaders.
